Today was a big day for Milwaukee’s Ryan Braun. The 31-year-old left fielder went 3-for-5 with 2 HRs, including a grand-slam off Cincinnati’s Jumbo Diaz in the 8th inning of an 8-3 win. Braun had another home run yesterday and now has four for the season.

It was the 21st multi-HR game of Braun’s career. The last one came 364 days ago — a three-dinger performance on 4/30/2014.

Today’s grand slam was Braun’s 4th since his 2007 debut and first since 2010. His career HR total is now 234.

As recently as Sunday and Monday, Milwaukee manager Ron Roenicke held Braun out of the lineup in favor of hotter hitters.
